Intangible Heritage
The treasure of knowledge
conveyed across generations—
tradition, historical continuity,
sense of place, and belonging.
The journey:
time and space
separated.
Travelled to different places—
different places
altered its meaning.
Different possible meanings
for different people:
an active process
of making
and negotiating meaning.

Found poem drawn from Anett Lőrincz’s “Intangible Heritage: The Change of Significance of Hungarian Embroidery over Time” (2021).
