Today was an absolutely stunning day - both in the park and on the beaches. I may have gotten a tad snap-happy...
I returned home with well over 100 images - in fact, I believe the figure was close to 150!! Unsurprisingly, I have struggled to narrow the blog selection down to just a handful. So here five and a bit handfuls instead...
This beautiful Tui greeted me as I entered the park. Unfortunately, the foliage and my lack of photography skills has resulted in a lack-lustre image, but I'm posting it nonetheless in the hope that one day I'll have a spectacular image to compare it against:
Loving the detail in the magnolia against the blur of the background:
I have said this before and will say it again: I love the morning light in the park!! The light and shade, the detail in he foreground and the sparkle in the background are truly magical and all I had to do was point, focus and click:
Images like this transport me into the park where I can feel the early morning sun on my skin and the fresh crisp air filling my lungs:
I quite like this composition - in particular, the way in which the magnolia bud and branch in the background frames the magnolia in the foreground:
Now that I'm uploading it, I'm not qure why this one made the cut, but here it is:
I like this composition - just a pity about the shadow cast across the subject:
Not sure if the focus is quite right on this one:
This image has that lovely early morning feel about it:
Loving the depth of colour in this one and of course the way in which the branches in the background are framing the subject in the foreground:
Nature is filled with the most interesting shapes:
More gorgeous colours:
I love the mood in this one - and of course the composition itself:
This is a stunning image of spring - begging to be inscribed with prose:
The colour in these particular magnolias is simply delicious:
I managed to capture a pair of sea gulls in flight - mostly in focus:
I also managed to capture Molly in flight - just as difficult to get in focus as sea gulls - in fact, more so:
I quite like this image - not sure why, I just do:
If only the birds were a little higher - with the sea and foliage as their immediate background:
Great action shot - almost in focus. I wonder what that dorsal fin like object is??
Another potentially cool shot - if only the bird in flight was better in focus:
Another potentially great action shot - if only the birds in flight were more in focus:
I LOVE this image:
Not too sure about this one - but I'm just proud of the fact that I managed to capture birds in flight:
Moss and debris - kind of funky:
Slimy:
I quite like this landscape - pity about the houses though:
