I FINALLY took my 'real' camera on my morning walk and all I can say is: why oh WHY haven't I done this sooner??
The lighting was gorgeous in the park on the way down to the beach and I discovered the Magnolia trees in bloom. I'm loving the colours in this image:
The lighting isn't so great in the next two... I was playing around with focus... first on the foreground:
...and then on the background:
The beach was deliciously gloomy:
Ignoring the fact that the horizon isn't level, the lines created by Rangitoto, surf and sand are pretty cool:
Loving the mood in this:
How cool is this cliff-side walk way:
Loving the mood of this shot - what a shame the birds aren't in focus:
Likewise for this shot:
I discovered this cool gate and stairwell:
Perspective composition:
Shooting from the same spot as above, but in landscape format - completely changing the feel of the image:
The lighting had changed by the time I finished my walk:
Back in the park I discovered daffodils - spring has arrived!! I think this is as good as the images used by the Cancer Society for Daffodil Day marketing:
